Government mind games are always at work. Regardless of the political party or government entity, misinformation, indoctrination and often bribery are used to try to influence the beliefs of their constituents. To trust any politician when they say they and their party will solve perceived problems for you if you vote for them and their opponents party will cause you harm, is making yourself vulnerable to deceit and disappointment.
